This week on Fantastic Forum, we are jumping into three big releases across comics and streaming.
First up is DC/Marvel: Batman Deadpool #1, the historic crossover one shot published by DC. Written by Grant Morrison with art by Dan Mora, this issue throws the Dark Knight and the Merc with a Mouth into a chaotic collision that only two universes crashing together could spark. Then we turn to Pluribus on Apple TV, the brand new sci fi drama from Vince Gilligan, starring Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka. The show follows Carol as the rest of humanity is suddenly joined into a hive mind that seeks to amicably assimilate immune individuals into itself. Is this another hit series from Gilligan? We'll give you our take.
Finally, we dive into Star Wars Visions Season 3, the latest anthology series featuring bold, inventive animated shorts from studios around the world. Alien: Earth and Alien: Paradiso | Fantastic Forum
Friday Nov 21, 2025
Friday Nov 21, 2025
This week on Fantastic Forum, we are diving headfirst into the uncanny with two Alien tales that take the franchise to thrilling new frontiers!
First we explore Alien: Earth, FX’s chilling reboot of a sci-fi horror classic. Created and showrun by Noah Hawley, this prequel series drops us into the dangerous year 2120, two years before the original Alien, and follows Wendy, a synthetic hybrid, as she confronts corporate conspiracies and Xenomorphic threats on Earth. The stakes are high for the Alien franchise as it makes its television debut.
Then we jet to the other side of the galaxy with Alien: Paradiso, the five-issue limited comic series by Steve Foxe, Edgar Salazar, and Peter Nguyen. This time we are at a neon-soaked luxury resort in space where tropical paradise quickly turns into a nightmare. When Colonial Marshals crash the party, they find smugglers, android staff, and soon a bloodthirsty Xenomorph in their midst. Each issue even gives us the alien’s point of view through Nguyen’s surreal pages. It is privilege, chance, and carnage in full technicolor.
